Delhi vs Mumbai, a battle so ancient, I bet the Mughals and Marathas were also part of it. Whether it’s comparing food, bars, restaurants or even the weather, we’ve debated about it all. So, this time when my Mumbaikar friends decided to finally come visit Delhi, I thought why not show them Delhiites ki mehman nawazi.
It really helps that I’m a massive foodie, with a serious case of curiosity for the newest and most happening places in town.
These are some of those bars in Delhi that really impressed my friends from Mumbai and will impress yours too.
1. I sacked Newton
Acoustic nights, live performances and a panoramic view of Noida, that’s ‘I sacked Newton’ for you. Pick anything off their menu and you won’t regret being here. *Psst...you don’t want to miss out on their Chili Chicken Popcorn and their signature Ricotta Ravioli.

2. Together at 12th
Together at 12th is perfect for a fancy sundowner! I love everything from the gorgeous view to it’s very chic interiors and pretty much everything on their delicious menu. Plus, the bartender Akhilesh Sheoran was the first runner up for the World Class 2019 bartending competition by Diageo. Here you may actually have the chance to sip on his Ketel One World Class cocktail.

3. The Piano Man
If music gigs and comedy shows in Delhi is what you want your friends to experience, The Piano Man is apt! Fancy interiors, a continental cuisine and music that gets you grooving, The Piano Man definitely makes it to my top 6 bars to visit while in Delhi.

4. Antidot Waterbar Cafe
Antidot Waterbar Cafe is so much more than a colorful bar with a fantabulous view. Extremely fancy cocktails, a global menu and hand-painted interiors that give you a bohemian feel, pretty much everything here seals the deal for Antidot Waterbar Cafe. They have mist coolers placed in the outside section for days when it gets too hot. 10 points for thoughtful little details!

5. The Hook
Picture this - a hot Delhi morning, fabulous company and freshly brewed beer, do I have to say more? But that’s not the only reason why it’s one of my favourite places to chill with friends. From Oktoberfests to Bollywood nights and sundowners, this place hosts every type of event. Also, while you’re there, don’t forget to take a peek at the sky from it’s glass roofed ceiling while sipping on a cool Ketel One cocktail.

6. Hauz Khas Social
Ever since the movie Tamasha was shot at Hauz Khas Social, it’s been the IT place people usually want to cover. I specifically love the view from Hauz Khas a tad bit too much. If you’re going to be spending a long time at Hauz Khas, do call for their hatke cocktails.
