When relaxing on a much needed weekly off or while hosting a house party, delicious brunch cocktails are a must-have. Go raid your kitchen cabinet and who knows you may be surprised with what you have in there. 

Bring out those bottles and get those fancy cocktail glasses. 

But, don't just pop the bottle. Pick your liquor of choice and make the perfect drink. 

We called in the in-house expert, Andrew Young, Brand Ambassador, Diageo and he created some new cocktails that will surely be a hit among your brunch buddies. 

1. Canary Cocktail

A delicious Ketel One concoction that uses classic Italian flavours.

Ingredients

45 ml Ketel One

15 ml Limoncello

30 ml Pineapple Juice

15 ml Candied lemon

30 ml Fresh Lemon Juice

Method

Add the Ketel One vodka, Limoncello, pineapple juice and fresh lemon juice in a shaker. Shake and strain in an old fashioned glass. Garnish with candied lemon or lemon twist.

2. Black Orchard Spritz

A fresh and spritzy Johnnie Walker Black Label highball with apple and soda.

Ingredients

60 ml JW Black Label

90 ml Apple Juice

Soda

Lemon wheel

Method

In a Collins glass, build the Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky and apple juice and top it up with soda. Garnish with lemon wheel.

3. Tanq ‘75

Classic sparkling cocktail combining Tanqueray gin and fresh lemon, then topped with sparkling wine.

Ingredients

30 ml Tanqueray

20 ml Fresh lemon juice

20 ml Sugar syrup

Sparkling wine

Lemon peel

Method

In a champagne flute, add all the ingredients and shake. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with a lemon peel.

4. Dutch Caipirovska

Fresh and vibrant mix of Ketel One with lime and honey.

Ingredients

60 ml Ketel One

10 ml Honey

20 ml Lime Juice

Method

Combine the Ketel One vodka, honey and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and dump in a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange slice.
